oh i can't believe it.
just as i was getting all warm and comfortable with my cubicle and the ubber friendly colleagues, the management decided to shift me to another cubicle, far away from where im seating now.
with new neighbours and worst still, in the middle of the whole office space, i feel so so so expose.

i actually feel sad and at the same time, surprise to find that im already so attach to this group of colleagues.
probably due to the reason that they are two and an half times older than me, a little motherly.
yes, they call me 'xiao mei'.

whereas the other side, i'll be so alone.
no one will be talking to me.
im sure my dozing off frequency will definitely increase.
lastly, i'll have to share cubicle with isa's little sis.
where is my privacy?!?

saturday and sunday were extremely good for me.
got ambushed by his family on sunday.
i guess sooner or later i got to have dinner with them.
i can already imagine how awkward i will be when im due for his weekly saturday night family dinner.

i need to dig a hole and hide.

putting the mess looming ahead for me, i had 2 consecutive days of laksa!
pretty yummy.
and sushi too.
kept eating all the random stuff for lunch and dinner.
but im pretty happy.

a quick update:
i've been working.
not bad, not as hard as i imagined it would be.

the last noticeable event that happened would be ryan's 21st birthday.
his mom's cooking, i tell you ah, FANTASTIC.
the chicken wings super yummy!
chilli crab was not bad but a little spicy.
tomyum was GOOD!
but we ate it in a hurry else, i'll definitely have more than one serving.

and we mahjong-ed.
it was funny seeing beng and ryan play.
and as usual, sgh being very noisy.

went out with madeline to sentosa.
the sun was pretty good till around 12 odd and that was when we reached the beach.
ubber cloudy with very little sun.

we were exposed under the sun for merely a few minutes only to have it covered by the grey clouds.
this repeated for a few times.
and i even got a slight uneven tan.

how sad.

after that, met up with suxin and had steamboat!

but theirs seems to be very salty.

look at the time now, been long since i last publish a post.

these few days or should i say, weeks, had been a tiny bit busy for me.
so, a quick update here.

july 5th-10th:
beng's chalet. (did i mention this already??)

actually 5th onwards im spending everyday with ~~pork~~sgh.

cooked sphagetti on the 6th, created a bit of mess in the kitchen.
quite funny that while he cooked, i kept cleaning up the mess. (ubber terrible and messy laaaaa, tsk!)

we had steamboat at ryan's hse too.
the monopoly we played, gosh, a crazy session of throwing the dice, checking assets and paying/receiving money.

all the way till 10th, most of the time i was with him other than sleeping.
yupp, that much of my time.
well, what to do, he is entering ns on the 11th.

watched wanted too!
angelina jolie is yummy.

the whole night i was tossing and turning.

genting trip was not bad.
ignoring the exteremely-under-dressed-in-the-cold-weather-and-sleeping-on-the-floor-with-a-sleeping-bag part, i guess everything is good.

i didn't expect the weather would be so terrible, so happily, thinking it would be the exact same as the previous year, i brought shirt, berms, sweater and sandal there.
only that it is so not.
i got a sore throat and a cold on the second day.
so i'm still suffering from the aftermath.

yesterday went out with gf&siti.
went to mindcafe.
it was fun.
mostly laughing away or shivering under the airconditioner.
took a few photos.
will upload if gf send it to me.
each of us only paid 10 bucks for 4 hours of games, free flow of drinks and one beef lasagne.
worth it right?

dinner was with ~~pork~~sgh.
initially our plan was to have meatballs however he came so late and i was lazy to travel so we walked all the way to far east (from ps) to have ramen ten.
im a sucker for ramen ten.

we had black pepper crabs, chilli crabs, vegetables, some fried you tiao with filling thingy, stingray and sotong.
each person about 25 bucks.
quite worth it but but i think all the food a tad too spicy for me.
i suck at eating spicy stuff, i know.

anyway, after that we went changi airport!
went to T3 and i have to say that i'm a suah ku.
never been there till yesterday.

and i swear, my thumb and index finger are in pain.

simple yet, destructive because when i focus on the identifying the notes, i lost the rhythm.

went to play in ____.
sigh, didn't really like the people there.
too foreign and not welcoming at all.
i foresee we won't be able to play super nice repertoire.
or maybe there will be because afterall outside band do things differently from school band.
oh well.

and i feel like an outcast there.
although there are some nice friendly souls in my section, still, heave a big sigh.

first try, i couldn't even play B and C.

sight read was even worst.
at ubber slow speed and lotsa fingerings long forgotten.

one thing did perk me up, the conductor looks young.
and doesn't look scary because i hate fierce conductors that pinpoint the individual part and make you play solo in front of them.

and my friend, did not make me feel welcome at all.

but i still decided to loan back the instrument and practice because i hate not being able to play.
im going to triumph over the pieces!

first time playing already leave me with some bruises.

yours truly has hit the big 2 today.

not much difference, just feel slightly older.
i wish i got smarter brains or exceptionally good skills so that i can either study because of my new brain or thrive in the working world.
if only.

my gift this year for my birthday is prescribed by my doctor.
gastritis acting up again.
self-medicated myself with last year october pills.
hope it is ok.
constantly pigging at home till late afternoon and skipping breakfast = very very bad
so i made a vow which is to wake up earlier everyday if im not working so that my poor overly acidic stomach won't make a hole in my stomach.

according to the labels on the tiny ziplock bags, my first occurance was during october 2006.
followed by october 2007 and then may 2008.

ok, i think this is bad.

anyway, this week is a very busy one for me because if im not wrong, i had already celebrated my birthday 4 times.

first time (26th)
andrea celebrated with me.
we had crystal jade (la mian outlet).
feast there.
it was yummmmy.
:)

second time (28th)
yeo, hl, yahui and cz met up with me and we went shokudo.
not bad but a little expensive.
after that we had cakes from nydc.
as usual talked alot alot.
im aiming the jamaica banana cake for my next visit there.

third time (29th)
went out with gf after our work.
watched made of honour, i like!!
then we had dinner at coffee club, which i think the food there are much more worth than that shokudo.
the reason why we went coffee club was cus we were craving for fondue.
went haagen daz, theirs too expensive.
tcc don't have.
coffee club has but gf mentioned about a place in esplanade sells so after dinner, we flew there to eat our dessert (:
quite nice, im going bring ~~pork~~sgh there again.

fourth time (29th)
night time, he came.
didn't notice that my gift was already hidden at one corner of my house.
till i went down and met him.
momo&bro attempted to con me to believe they brought me an oven for my birthday.
luckily i didn't open on the spot.
else that will be so so so paiseh and quite funny too.
i guess next time there isn't any need to intro you to momo&bro.

cooking half boiled eggs is a tough job.
i didn't know it is so hard.

i thought just threw the eggs in while the water boil and waited for 3 mins and ta-daaah, ready to serve.
however when i cracked open the first egg, it was still uncooked.
~~pork~~sgh said the eggs need at least 5 mins, not 3.
then i switched on the stove, and re-boiled the water with the remaining 2 eggs inside.
and i added too much dark soya sauce, it became all black, didnt even taste like eggs.

initially i wanted to join my family for an early morning exercise at the newly built bridge.
and after the morning walk, they all decided to go JB!

but i woke up feeling giddy and nausea, hence, decided to stay at home instead of joining them.

i must say we were laughing while baking those cookies because firstly, ya, we are meanies, we love to gossip about people and laugh at them and secondly, im blur.

i misread that baking powder needed was 3/4 cup which is insane la (fyi: 3/4 cup is alot!), it is actually 3/4 teaspoon.

but but the expression that i got from him is priceless.

gf and i tried making eyeshadow today.
ubber fun!!
especially the mixing of the different coloured micas to give a nicer hue of blue or whatnot.
and the compressing part quite hilarious le.
lol!
first time gf did it, the whole powder just poof up and flew everywhere and we were giggling quite loudly la.
(i think the whole lab people thought we were crazy, hah!)

making eyeshadow is super easy and cheap la!
just the the compressing part is a little troublesome and requires some skill to do it well.

dinner was at mac.
been a long time since i last ate.
we had mcwings (yums!!), double cheeseburger & mcspicy.
mayo + garlic chilli = love
use it with mcwings, gosh, drools.

anyway, we walked around a little.
and i saw a super cute eeyore!!!!
i like the bigger version but house no place to put it so i think when i got the time, im going to buy the medium size one.

got a sms from momo, rushed down to CGH after i called back to reconfirm.
on the way there, a girl got fits and fainted in the train.
created a commotion and this is my first time witnessing such a thing.

i conclude im not a warm&friendly&automatic girl.
because i just stood there and went O.O

so back to why i was rushing to hospital, greatgrandma got problem breathing plus she got pneumonia.
condition quite critical.
so yup, rushed to simei and then cabbed in.

and the taxi uncle thought it was lame to cab in because the hospital is quite near - about 3 bus stops away.
not really my fault right because i'm a westsider.
cab fare was $3.20.
hahs!

went up and saw quite a number of people were already there.
wheezing sounds can be heard and she took great pain and effort to breathe in air.

so yup, we decided not to do any medical intervention to her current situation.
doctor advised that since she is so old, it is better not to do any invasive operation.
and not to 'torture' her anymore, just let her go.

we just stood there, looked at her, went in and out of the wards and with that amount of members present, we occupied the whole lounge area.
and we were relatively noisy.

finally i'm back to my gossip girl novel.
this time round, i get to venture even further to book 7: Nobody Does It Better unlike the previous few times where i got stuck at book 6 or way before book 6 and then leave it there and forget about the story.

that is the problem with forgetful people.
especially when it comes to storybooks.
hence, i like to buy everything and store it at home so i get to re-read it again if i like or need to.
same goes for harry potter.

staying at home whole day doesn't necessary seems like a good thing.
been trying to keep my mouth busy by munching on stuff im only allowed to eat (actually there isn't much for me to eat), watching house and chatting with people online.
oh, not to worry, i did not forget about sim or ntu.

i think it is a mistake to reject nus nursing interview.
anyway, it is over, shall not brood over it too much.

in conclusion:
chatting with gf - makes me wanna ditch sim and accept ntu and at the same time take up sim and ignore about ntu.
chatting with madeline - she said go for interest, means ditch sim.
chatting with friendly giant - he asked me to think carefully, dont like dont take the course.
chatting with pork - he said prepare the documents for sim first, meanwhile wait a few more days for ntu. (which im lazy to prepare)

i guess i still got a few more days to decide.
and i need to go through the details from the attached documents if i really want to get my ass into sim.

currently, i really wont mind ditching sim and wait patiently for ntu.

my ntu interview was like a month odd ago and i hear no news from them at all!
called the admin office and she said not sure, it depends on how fast that department gives their results and then it will be sent out.
do they need so long to process my info?

im having very little confident that i'll get in.

it is either i grit my teeth and hang on till end of june for that ntu letter.
and give up sim's offer.
if ntu letter fail to reach my doorstep, im doom.
doom spells work life.

or give up ntu letter. (anyway i don't even know it is coming or not)
and accept sim's offer, slog through all the mathematical symbols and graphs and every other bitter days of going to school only to see more maths stuff.
at the same time, praying hard that i will graduate.

woke up with blob, very bad to begin the day with.
anyway, i anticipated it.
next, got craaamp.

then on second thought, i can't differentiate that with my gastritis.
and i began to pop snowflakes into my mouth, hopefully the acid didn't make a hole in my stomach if it is the latter.
and when the pain got subtle, i felt dizzy and weak.
hungry but not much appetite.
so lunch was just oatmeal.
and a kinder bueno bar.

i felt sick ler.
pfft.

despite all these, i cleared and cleaned up my cupboard, packed quite some stuff and threw a ~~few~~ lot of items away.
make more room for new stuff and also make them look neater.
plus house super windy, dusts accumulate very fast.
so now, everything looks much better.

oh, i aired, sun-ed and ethanol-ed my birken too.
got rid of all the mould.
i hope it is ok to wear now.
